After captivating the country last night during the Super Bowl with Kia Optima’s big day commercial, Adriana Lima is at it again. This time, the Brazilian stunner is seducing us in the Donna Karan Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign video filmed in Haiti by photographer Russell James. With prints, cut-out heels and that jumpsuit, Adriana commands your attention from the beginning to the end.
Adriana channels her piercing eyes and confident movement to help bring a strength out of the clothes femininity. The ad campaign video starts out with the caption of “A World of Seduction” and from the 70-seconds that we were witnesses to, we fully agree.
In happier news, Adriana Lima is still showing off her rocking body. The Brazilian stunner has been in St. Barts for a Victoria’s Secret shoot (Pop Sugar) roughing it out in the horrible (read: amazing) conditions. Former VS Angel, Gisele Bundchen, also got her sexy on for the latest Versace Jeans campaign (OHLALA Mag) shot by Mert & Marcus.

There’s Doutzen, Adriana, Candice, Lily and Lindsay with their sick bodies and titillating lingerie. Each image is signed with “Be my Valentine, gorgeous!” and we have the feeling that there would scores of people clambering over each other to be one of these ladies Valentine’s just for a fraction of a minute.

Photographer Russell James recently appeared on a CNBC series titled Best Jobs Ever where we get to see his grueling work life: shooting Victoria’s Secret models. In the 7.5 minute clip, filmed mostly here at Pie59 Digital Studios in our soundstage, we get to discover some interesting facts about James. One of those is that his desire to work for dogs inspired him to become a West Australian police officer…where he discovered there was no dog squad on the force! He still served for five years before trying his hand at modeling, bought a bankrupt modeling agency and then eventually got into photography.
What was his golden ticket? Not a slew of education or internships but the 1997 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover featuring Tyra Banks. This cover grabbed the attention of Ed Razek, Victoria’s Secret’s Creative Director, and the rest, as one might say, is history. Now, James finds himself shooting the likes of Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Miranda Kerr and more. But the great thing about James is that he still doesn’t say to himself “I’ve made it” because he thinks that is the point in someone’s career when they’re about to be done.
In addition to photographing some of the world’s sexiest women, he also has Nomads Two Worlds. Nomads is James’ foundation that bridges the artistic work of Australian Indigenous with a wider audience, support these artists and has given him the opportunity “to understand the clash of ancient and modern cultures he witnessed growing up in Australia to what it is today.” Take a look below:
