Mark Fina and 59 Still + Motion, Pier 59 Studios’ digital department, embarked on a special project last year that resulted in a short film centered around makeup that is both seductive and arresting.
Fina directed Victoria Anderson and Hind Sahli, of DNA Models, as they emerged from the darkness. Makeup artist Souhi Lee created deep, rich shadows using bold hues on lips, eyes and nails. The wardrobe, Prabal Gurung’s Fall 2011 collection, brought its own bold intensity to the shoot. Watch below.
