“Daring, bright and confident” is how the Juicy Couture girl is described and judging by the “Couture Is Here” campaign which was shot here at Pier 59 Digital Studios, she is a girl everyone wants to be around. Raquel Zimmerman, Models.com’s #10 Icon, gets lensed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in what can be best described as a youthful yet sophisticated affair. It is a vast difference from the Spring 2011 campaign which featured a more bohemian, laid back vibe. “We really wanted to stand behind the couture in Juicy Couture with this campaign so we played more to our fun, glamorous, unapologetic side,” says LeAnn Nealz, President and Chief Creative Officer of Juicy Couture. Watch this behind-the-scenes video to see just why Raquel remains one of the most requested models in the industry.
Nealz says it is “definitely an exciting time” for the brand and we have to agree. The mixture of ready-to-wear pieces and the ever iconic tracksuit in the campaign perfectly illustrates the brand’s history while showing growth and expansion. With another extraordinary set built by Stefan Beckman, top stylist George Cortina (he’s styled 8 international Vogue covers this year alone) joined makeup artist Dick Page and hair stylist Eugene Souleiman to help create this alluring campaign.
