A Détacher embraced both sides of the color spectrum for Fall 2012. We saw a heavy dosage of blacks as well as punches of color and slightly enlarged sleeves. Despite there being a plethora of prints including polka dots and florals, the collection itself had a pleasant streamlined cohesiveness.

We were especially fond of the oversized black coat that opened the show. The simple lines and shape it created while flowing down the runway was a great way to capture the audiences interest and hold it even beyond the finale walk.

Did we mention we couldn’t get enough of the orange accents that appeared? The orange band on a wide scoop neck top and orange armor-esque portion of the black dress popped out at us.

The hair and makeup also made us look twice. Some models stormed out with heavy lashes on the top and bottom eyelid, making it easy for them to say “My eyes are up here” without ever saying a word.

Quirky. Streamlined. As different as they may seem, both of these adjectives can be applied to the A Détacher Fall 2012 collection and we applaud them for being able to marry the two together.
