The P59 Playlist

We’ve had Usher’s new single, “Climax,” on repeat since it dropped on Valentine’s Day. Despite its suggestive title, the song is actually a sad tune talking about the end of a relationship. Sad or not, it’s a pretty solid track and is produced by Diplo. That got us to thinking about tracks produced or remixed by Diplo and this is a list of some of our favorites.

Usher – Climax

Sia – Clap Your Hands (Diplo Remix)

Maroon 5 – Misery (Diplo Put Me Out Of My Misery Mix)

Beyonce – Run the World (Girls)

Major Lazer – Original Don (ft. The Playground)

What are some of your favorite Diplo tracks?

We love music and we love a good British accent so what could be better than to have a post full of awesome British singers doing what they do best? We also thought this the perfect opportunity to highlight some of the favorite tracks from this years nominees at the BRIT Awards, the UK equivalent of the Grammy’s. Yup, there’s the powerhouse vocalist Adele and super cool Coldplay. There is also the raspy crooner, James Morrison, with more Indie acts like Elbow and James Blake.

Adele – Set Fire to the Rain (Live at the Royal Albert Hall)

James Blake – A Case of You

Coldplay – Charlie Brown

James Morrison – Up (ft Jessie J)

Elbow – Lippy Kids (Live at Blueprint Studios)

Madonna Premiere’s the “Give Me All Your Luvin’” music video

Madonna is performing at this weekend’s Super Bowl so to help get us in the mood, she has unleashed her football-centric “Give Me All Your Luvin’ (ft. Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.)” music video.

Who needs bodyguards when you have a whole team of players to help you walk on the side of a building and shield you with umbrellas from…yellow rain? Oh, yeah! And she’s got Nicki and M.I.A. as her personal cheerleaders.

Our favorite bit? When Queen Madge pulls out the tight curls, dark mole and white lace. She’s so hot in this video, we wouldn’t be surprised if we walked away with a sixth degree burn if bumping into her.

Madonna releases her upcoming album, MDNA, on March 26, 2012. Check out the tracklising for the album that was recently revealed.

This week, we’ve got some new tracks from some of our favorite artists. There’s nothing like hearing great new material from a beloved act,is there? The videos are pretty dope, too. A winking dog, supernatural ballroom dancing, a girlfriend dealing with having a touring boyfriend, mayhem in a club and a lead singer that looks like John Galliano? Sounds like a rocking Monday to us.

Sleigh Bells – Comeback Kid

Snow Patrol – In The End

Fun. – We Are Young (ft. Janelle Monáe)

Gym Class Heroes – Ass Back Home (ft. Neon Hitch)

King Charles – LoveBlood

The P59 Playlist

Today is all about a more Indie vibe. It’s a little bit of a “We’re just as good as the mainstream, but we’re gonna let that river flow beside us” music. And guess what? That’s very needed every now and again. We’ve got some British Rap and German Electro.

It sounds pretty ridiculous but it all sonically comes together.

Audio Bullys – Only Man

Chairlift – Met Before

Emeli Sandé – Next To Me

Fanfarlo – Shiny Things

Digitalism – 2 Hearts
