NISSAN LEAF TOUCHES DOWN AT P59W
Friday kicked off the Nissan Leaf, North American tour which started with an all day educational event and consumer party at Pier 59 West. The studios were transformed to reflect the sleek, clean lines of the vehicles, creating a bright, futuristic scene that was accentuated by the energy of a large, enthusiastic crowd.
Three cars were on display for people to peruse and take for a "short" spin. The model of a Utopian city was showcased in studio B, a city that revealed a world where vehicles can be charged by driving in certain lanes or parking under solar panels. Perhaps appearing more like the ultimate pinball game rather than a functioning city at this stage, one can only hope that this kind of future is not too far off in the distance.
The model was built by the creative team from Soars Int in Japan, and they had collaborated with the art department from a little known film called Godzilla.
From beginning to end, this was an amazing event and one we were truly honored to be a part of. The Nissan Leaf is a zero emission, 100% electric vehicle and we cannot wait to see more of them on the roads.
